The short version
That was a deliberate choice in 2001 — when most staffing firms were expanding into every discipline they could reach. We went the other direction.
IT only meant our recruiters could go deep instead of wide, build real technical credibility, and stop pretending a generalist sourcing motion was adequate for niche technology roles.
That focus is also why clients come back: when the role is specialized, the firm that knows the discipline closes faster and places better.
Milestones
Founded in Milwaukee. First clients in financial services, manufacturing, and healthcare across the Upper Midwest.
Formalized five IT talent practices as cloud, security, and data engineering matured into distinct disciplines. Stopped staffing adjacent roles — IT only, formally.
Expanded beyond Wisconsin: Chicago, Madison, and Dallas. Same model, larger network.
Cloud-era staffing across infrastructure, data, development, security, and support. The practices have evolved. The standard hasn't.
Why IT only matters to you
A general staffing firm has an IT team. We are the IT team.
Every recruiter here has recruited IT roles for years. They know what a Site Reliability Engineer actually does, what to ask a Security Engineer about prior incident response, and why a DBA with ten years of Oracle experience may or may not fit a PostgreSQL environment.
That knowledge isn't incidental — it's why our technical vetting catches what a generalist screen misses, and why our shortlists take fewer rounds to close.
How we work
Technical assessments and reference checks are completed before any candidate reaches your inbox. You're evaluating finalists.
When we don't have the right person, we tell you — plainly. We'd rather pass on a placement than pad a shortlist with someone who almost fits. A recommendation you can trust is worth more than a filled seat, and it's why clients keep coming back.
We check in after placement. If something isn't working, we know before it becomes a problem.
Contract, contract-to-hire, permanent — built around what the role and timeline actually require.
Leadership
Sets aCubeMed's direction and holds the bar on who joins our network — more than two decades spent matching IT talent to the work that actually needs it.
Keeps the network moving — sourcing, vetting, and delivery — so a shortlist reaches clients in days rather than weeks, without cutting corners.
Owns the technology and systems that run aCubeMed itself — the tools, data and security that let our recruiters move fast and keep every placement and candidate record airtight.
Hiring for an IT role, or an IT professional looking for your next contract? Either way, we'd like to hear from you.
